Hi, I’m Martin Bamford, a portrait photographer working with ambitious professionals and hardworking creatives across the Surrey Hills.
Many of the people I photograph are at a point of change. They’re building something, stepping into visibility, or realising that their old photos no longer represent who they are or where they’re heading.
Before photography, I worked in a people-facing professional role. I understand pressure, reputation, and what it feels like to be on the other side of the camera when something matters. That experience shapes how I work now. Focused. Thoughtful. Respectful of your time and what is at stake.
I create headshots and portraits on location around Cranleigh and the Surrey Hills, in my studio, your workplace or home, or outdoor settings that support the story you want your images to tell. The setting is never accidental. It’s always chosen to help you look credible, confident, and at ease.
My style is natural and people-focused. I don’t force smiles or poses. I help you settle into the space so what comes across feels honest and grounded. The aim is simple. Photographs that look like you and feel right to use.
