I’m Martin Bamford, a portrait photographer based in Cranleigh. Apparently, it’s the biggest village in England, though I’ve yet to see the official measuring tape.
I used to spend my days talking about pensions and money on the radio and in newspapers. Then the pandemic arrived, I picked up a camera, and everything changed. Swapping suits for shutter clicks was the best decision I’ve ever made.
These days, I work with individuals and small businesses to create bold, honest portraits that actually feel like you. Over the past five years, I’ve photographed everyone from solo entrepreneurs and creative agencies to musicians, actors, artists, authors, charities, politicians, and even members of the Royal Family.
People tell me my shoots are relaxed, easy-going and, most importantly, fun. That’s when the good stuff happens. When you’re comfortable and not thinking too hard, the real you shows up.
If you want portraits that look great and feel true, let’s have a chat. No pressure. Just the start of something brilliant.
